warm up your own chestnuts.

i love the fill in the blank gap ads.
i am unable to locate a copy of the one im talking about.

in which case i will now change subjects.
generate your own happiness.
i have recently found love in love poem generators that are not unlike mad libs.

here is one of the lovely creations.

My Love

Your skin glows like the clementine,
blossoms glorious as the pink daisy in the purest hope of spring.

My heart follows your voice like crashing symbols
and leaps like a wallaby at the whisper of your name.

The evening floats in on a great ostrich wing.
I am comforted by your sleeve that I carry into the
twilight of "Stonewall" Jacksonbeams and hold next to my big toe.

I am filled with hope that I may dry your tears of HCl.
As my forehead falls from my other sleeve,
it reminds me of your Wal-mart.

In the quiet,
I listen for the last toilet flushing of the day.

My heated belly button leaps to my sock.
I wait in the moonlight for your secret car
so that we may frolic as one,
belly button to belly button,
in search of the magnificent Verde
and mystical revolving door of love.

  1. I wait in the moonlight for your secret car. This is the best part of the poem by far. And that just rhymed. How sublime. I am a rhyming fiend. And I don't know what I mean. Thanks for updating your blog, young friend. I'll miss you to the end. Of the weekend. And all see you on Monday. And we'll do parkour. I had to break up the rhyme scheme at the end, because that's what all good poets do. Yours in death, Elsa McNally
